What is SCC?
SCC is a 40-voice chorus based in the LGBTQ community of Long Beach, California. The organization was founded in 1990 with the sole purpose of bringing the gay and straight communities together - one show at a time.
 
What is the purpose of SCC?

SCC is a community ensemble of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered and straight performers, and their allies, dedicated to presenting high quality musical shows and events that enrich lives and affirm equality for all people. Based in the gay and lesbian community, SCC outreaches to include parents, families, and friends. Through a commitment to musical and personal excellence, the Chorale seeks to empower themselves and their audiences to build bridges between the women and men's communities, as well as the straight and gay communities.

 
When & where are the shows?

We offer four main stage shows as part of our season. We also make appearances at local community events.  Ourmain stage shows are held at the beautiful Scottish Rite Theater in downtown Long Beach. Shows for the 20th Season are:

How do I get tickets?

Season Subscriptions are made available at the beginning of August up through the first show of the season.

Individual tickets may be purchased are made available to the general public sixty (60) days before a show and can be purchased through SCC members or via our website. To purchase tickets through our website, please select Shows on the top menu and select the show of choice.

 
Who are the members of the organization?
Members range in age, size, color, profession, background and outside interests. Both singing and associate members have one thing in common - a commitment to changing their world through all forms of music.
